Biography
The talented poet and publicist Xurshid Davron was born on January 20, 1952, in the village of Chordara in the Samarqand district of the Samarqand region, into a family of employees.
After finishing secondary school, in 1969 he entered the evening department of the Faculty of Journalism at Tashkent State University, working on construction sites in Tashkent during the day.
After returning from military service between 1971 and 1973, he continued his studies. From 1974 to 1992, he worked at various publishing houses.
Xurshid Davron has also been engaged in poetic translation.
Currently, the poet is busy writing historical stories and novellas.

He has been awarded the title of «People's Poet of Uzbekistan».
Xurshid Davron's first poems were published in district and regional newspapers starting in 1976-1977. His entry into great literature began in 1976 in the «Guliston» magazine with the «green light» of master poet Erkin Vohidov.
Activity
Between 1976 and 1978, a number of his poems were published. In 1979, his first and second books: «Qadrdon quyosh» and «Shahardagi olma daraxti» were printed. After that, the poet's following books were published: «Tungi bog'lar» (1981), «Uchib boraman qushlar bilan» (1983), «To'marisning ko'zlari» (1984), «Bolalikning ovozi» (1986), «Qaqnus» (1987), and «Samarqand xayoli» (1991). The last collection consists of beautiful novellas related to the history of the Uzbek people.
His new book of poems, which cherishes our independence, was published under the title «Bahordan bir kun oldin».
In addition, Xurshid Davron has also written historical novellas such as «Sohibqiron nabirasi» (1995) and «Shahidlar shohi» (1997). As a playwright, he has created dramas on historical themes such as «Mirzo Ulug'bek», «Bobur shoh», and «Avrangzeb».
